Welcome
to West Hill Educare!
Established in 2007, West Hill Educare is Ithaca's premiere RIE™
toddler program serving one- and two-year-old children and their families.
We are located near the end of a cul-de-sac on Ithaca's west hill, just
inside the city limits. We are open from 8:30-4:30 Monday-Friday, following
the Ithaca City School District calendar. Before and after care hours are available between 8:00-8:30 a.m. and 4:30-5:30 p.m.
At WHE,
children are treated as important, capable individuals who are invited
to participate actively in their own care within the context of a safe
and nurturing home-based environment.
Our mission is to provide early
care and education that supports the development of self-help and communication
skills in the young child while emphasizing the importance of empathy
towards others. We seek to enhance each child’s sense of joy and
wonder through observation of and interaction with the natural world.
